Even if you have chosen to stay in one of the nearby resorts, the likelihood is that you will have travelled via Málaga. Here is our guide to the different ways you can get to the capital city of the Costa del Sol.
By Plane
The majority of tourists will arrive by plane, as many budget airlines, such as easyJet and Monarch, fly to Málaga Airport. Flights arrive daily from several destinations in the UK, including Manchester, London and Glasgow, as well as from around Europe.
The best way to get to your final destination once you are on the ground is to have one of our pre-booked taxis waiting for you. Bus
If you have been travelling in the region or indeed in other parts of Spain, you might arrive into Málaga by bus. The main bus station (Estación de Autobuses) is just opposite the train station, which is located on Paseo de los Tilos about a kilometre from the centre of the city. Most of the regional buses, however, come and go from the Muelle Heredia bus station located on Avenida de Manuel Agustin Heredia.

Train
The main train station, María Zambrano, is located a kilometre from the city centre and has RENFE trains coming and going from Madrid, Córdoba and Seville. It is likely that, should you have been staying in one of these magnificent cities, you will travel to Málaga by train. Trains are efficient, with many offering a high-speed service.
