Below are the 10 things you can do to try to get more for your Baht.
1. Come in low season
Low season in Thailand is around May to October, you can have just as much fun in low season and everything is cheaper, from hotels to tours. The only thing is that it can rain in parts of Thailand. But generally it will only rain for a hour or so during the day.
2. Look for specials and deals
Always a special or promotion around. If you like going to bars, there is plenty of places which offer good deals on drinks and food. Also when you are shopping for clothes and present, remember to barter for the goods, you will be amazed on how much you can save.
3. Try booking flights early
It is usually cheaper in my experience to book a flight a few months in advance then trying to book a week before the holiday.
4. Exchanging currency
Do not exchange at the airports, if you really have to, just change a little money for a taxi and wait until you can exchange it at a bank or super rich if you are in Bangkok
5. Buy a simcard in Thailand
I have heard stories of phone bills racking up to large amounts as roaming can be quite expensive, also some companies have a very high rate for 3G roaming internationally.
